As the sort of person who's found bugs in compilers, and who's spent time looking at the output machine code and with an oscilloscope, this comment about compilers as abstraction layers, and LLMs as an extension of the abstraction layer, is making me think a little more charitably about AI as code generator. https://mastodon.social/@mkb/114083167517852985
