Charlene and I went camping with Dominique, Roz, Daniel and Roger. We camped at Fremont Peak State Park. Drove into Monterey to go kayaking, had great fun kayaking along the front of Monterey, with all sorts of way over the top cute sea otters lounging in the kelp forests, a harbor seal or two, and, of course, sea lions.
That evening there was a viewing night at the observatory up on Fremont Peak, so we went and looked at celestial objects. Sunday morning we left the other gang to deal with some car problems and headed out to the coast, up through Moss Landing, The Forest of Nisene Marks State Park, a stop in Capitola for dinner (tourist trap hell, no need to go back), and then home.
