The summer has been fairly hot, and the long hair has been thinning at the top, frizzing round the edges, and I've been generally looking for a change. Last night Charlene and I took the trimmers to my head.
I want it long, straight, curly, fuzzy Snaggy, shaggy, ratty, matty Oily, greasy, fleecy Shining, gleaming, streaming Flaxen, waxen Knotted, polka-dotted Twisted, beaded, braided Powdered, flowered, and confettied Bangled, tangled, spangled, and spaghettied!
Oh say can you see My eyes if you can Then my hair's too short
But I've been losing it up top, and various life changes and situations now have me thinking that it's time to do something else, to be open to changes and possibilities. Those of you with vested stakes in such things in my life can take that as you will.
I'll shave it for a while, but my guess is that I'm going to settle on something with a little more hair than this. Charlene thinks I look like a chemo survivor, and I'm sure that I'll want a little more insulation come winter. But I think it's time to come to grips and acknowledge that "I do not want what I haven't got".
